Our Commitment to Accuracy

Heriot is committed to factual, neutral reporting. Every article is generated from verified sources with inline citations. Despite our best efforts, errors can occur. When they do, we correct them promptly and transparently.

How to Report an Error

If you believe an article on heriot.ai contains a factual error, please contact us at: corrections@heriot.ai

Please include the following in your report:

  • The URL of the article containing the error.
  • A description of the specific error (quote the inaccurate text if possible).
  • The correct information and, if available, a source supporting the correction.
  • Your name and contact information (optional, but helpful if we need clarification).

Our Correction Process

When we receive a credible correction request, we will:

  1. Review the claim against our original sources and any additional evidence provided.
  2. Verify the error independently where possible.
  3. Correct the article promptly if the error is confirmed. Corrections are made in the article body and noted transparently.
  4. Respond to the reporter (if contact information was provided) to confirm the outcome.

We aim to acknowledge correction requests within 48 hours and resolve confirmed errors within 5 business days.

Types of Corrections

  • Factual errors: Incorrect data, names, dates, or statistics are corrected in the article with a correction note appended.
  • Significant errors: Errors that materially change the meaning of an article may result in a full re-generation from updated sources.
  • Minor clarifications: Ambiguous phrasing may be updated without a formal correction notice where no factual claim is affected.

What We Will Not Correct

We do not make corrections based on:

  • Disagreement with editorial framing (we strive for neutrality but do not remove accurate information).
  • Requests from subjects of articles who object to factually accurate coverage.
  • Outdated information where the original article was accurate at time of publication (we may add an update note instead).
